Ultrasound appointment

I went in and they did my ultrasound I saw that my lining was very thick now on the machine screen. I was very excited. The doctor told me that everything looks great. The nurse called me that afternoon and told me to stop taking the Estradiol three times a day and start just taking it two times a day. Also she told me that I will stop my Lupron shots on March 31st and start my protozone shots on April 1st. I had my friend come with me to this appointment because she was going to be the person to give me my shots the entire time. I did not know until today on how many shots we will have to do. The nurse told me I will have to take it 1 week before my embryo transfer and 12 weeks after. So 13 WEEKS of intermuscular shots. That is 91 days of shots. Man this is going to be interesting. This was the only part I was dreading. But I have my friend with me and her and I know that this is what needs to be done so we are going to do it. If other people can do this than I can. Wish me luck. My next appointment is my Embryo Transfer date April 7th. The nurse is going to call me the day before to tell me what time it will be at. I am very excited. I just hope that the baby takes the first time so I don't have to go through the protozone shots again.

Another Ultrasound and blood work

They are checking today to see if my estrogen level is down so that I can start the Estadiol tablets that i need to take once a day and then twice a day and then three times a day till the embryo transfer. They did my ultrasound which of course my overies were still dormant and my lining was a little bit thicker. That afternoon they called to tell me that my estrogen level was down and now I can start taking the Estadiol pills once a day. My next appointment is March 29th to have an ultrasound to see how my lining is doing.

My Ultrasound and Bloodwork appointment

I went in to get an ultrasound and blood work. They said that my ovaries looked dormant which is good and they could see my lining was getting thicker. That afternoon they called to tell me that my estrogen level was to high so I had to do another week or so of the lupron shots. So my next appointment for an Ultrasound and blood work is going to be on March 15th. So now I have to give myself a total of 41 lupron shots.

Started Lupron Shots

My first shot I gave it to myself in my car. I was at my friend's belly dancing event and I almost forgot because I was busy trying to help them with different things. Anyway. Did the step by step instuctions. It was very easy and did not hurt one bit. 25 more lupron to go out of 29 total.

Received Injection Medication

Well I received my package of everything today. They gave me the entire supply that I am going to need for all of my injections including the Progesterone. None of it needs to be refridgerated. Also I have to take a pill called Estrace. So I just wait till this Friday and I start giving myself Lupron shots.

Pharmacy called to confirm

Walgreen Pharmacy called to make sure they have the correct address and that I wanted the medication to be shipped today or by Tuesday. I told them to ship it ASAP. This way I can take a look at it and make sure everything is "A" "OK". It is nice that they ship it directly to my house. No worries and they can always get it there next day. Also is seems that Jeff (intended father) received my email. He said that he will be trying to contact the pharmacy today. Which it looks like he did. Thank Jeff. I have never been so excited to be able to give myself shots for the next several months everyday but you do what you gotta do.

Confirmed some details

I talked with Melanie (Fertiliy Clinc) to make sure that when I finish taking my Birth control pills on Feb 24th. I asked if I had to use another type of birth control until the Embryo transfer date. Melanie said that she thought it would be a good idea. She told me though it would be a very slim chance to get pregnant while I am on Lupron because it is suppose to stop my eggs from releasing. But just to be safe we will use other birth control. Otherwise I am waiting for the Pharmacy to contact me and send me the medication but I found out that the Intended Parents have not contacted the pharmacy yet to give them billing information. So I am hoping they get that completed soon. Melanie said she hopes they do something by Feb. 16th Tues. so I will have enough time to have the medication sent to me before Feb. 19th. I hope they do. It would be sad if we have to redo all of the dates of all of my appointments. Also I tried to resend the email that was never sent letting the Intended Parents know the dates of my appointments.
